Running horde/imp I get the error message:

This is running centos (redhat enterprise 4)

Digging further, here are the last few lines of stracing the httpd -X that is serving up an imp web page. It actually worked for a bit -- I started the web server w/out apc, logged in to imp, restarted the web server with apc, no problems.

I then removed the php session files which forced a re-login to imp .... and it just died.
