I'm using PHP 3.0.2 and Apache 1.2.6 and have had no problems using
imageTTFtext() with the GD library.  Nice on the fly gifs with fonts etc.

However the moment I put in a call to ImageTTFBBox in any way , the server core dumps, always.

For example this
$dfg = ImageTTFBBox(20, 0, "/fonts/ARIAL.TTF", "asdfsadf");

The only note is that the fonts are local file system, not an url.
