Description:
------------
The whole package is using tabs instead of spaces for indentation. Should be easy to fix for someone who knows how to write a batch replace script.

the real problem is that PEAR requires a different coding
style (esp. TAB settings) as the PHP C source code and
that unlike within the PHP C source and DocBook XML
documentation there is no standard editor settings block
added to all PEAR source files

this makes compliance with PEAR coding styles rather
hard for us who spend more time within the PHP C source
than the PEAR PHP source ...

i'll re-format my stuff and add the needed editor settings
block for emacs to all files ...

BTW: you should *NEVER* try using indent on PHP source
as suggested in the PEAR manual, it will most likely to broken
code :(

You should try: http://www.phpedit.net/products/phpCodeBeautifier/ looks quiet impresive, it even comes with PEAR support.

what is the license of this beast?

it is not mentioned on the website
(unlike with phpedit itself where a license link is part of the product page navigation)

and downloading requires prior registration
which is not acceptable for finding out the license conditions IMHO

should be fixed now, tabification and indentation for source
snippets is now dealt with in special reformating methods ...
