From manual page: Values

I can read in the manual that intval() could return 0 with empty objets or arrays, and 1 with non-empty objets or arrays.
Obviously, it seems intval() always return 1 with empty objets.

Test script:
$o = new stdClass();
echo 'empty object ='.intval($o)."\n";

$o->foo = 'bar';
echo 'non empty object ='.intval($o)."\n";

$a = array();
echo 'empty array ='.intval($a)."\n";

$a['foo'] = 'bar';
echo 'non empty array ='.intval($a)."\n";

Expected result:
empty object =0
non empty object =1
empty array =0
non empty array =1

Actual result:
empty object =1
non empty object =1
empty array =0
non empty array =1

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.

Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better.

It looks like that line was left over from PHP 4 days. It has been amended, thanks
