ok, php has no problem. it's sth wrong in libmysql.dll, mysql 5.1.41

Only use the libmysql.dll distributed with PHP. 5.0 clients can connect to 5.1 and 5.5 without issue.

Please note that PHP 5.2 is not maintained anymore, switch to 5.3 is suggested. MySQL 5.5 is the current suggested series there.
