In Example #6 Executing a batch in a transaction, if connection to db failed, then $dbh variable is not initiated with object PDO, and it causes the fatal error :
   
Fatal error: Call to a member function rollBack() on a non-object in E:\xampp\htdocs\func.php on line 16

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.
