on line 1160 of ldap.c,  the line should be changed as follows:

-ldap_mods[i]->mod_values[j][(*value)->value.str.len] = '\0';
+ldap_mods[i]->mod_values[j][(*ivalue)->value.str.len] = '\0';

Or.. at least that fixed my problem. :).  If you guys keep credits, it'd be nice to have my name in the list somewhere :).  Thanks for the great language guys.  I'm really liking PHP4 quite a bit.
