Strings and arrays have a lot of similar functions.

parse_str() and extract() essentially do the same thing.
array_slice() and substr() essentially do the same thing.
array_splice() and substr_replace() essentially do the same thing.

Why not mention these in the See Also sections of each function?

There's a big difference between strings and arrays.  Enough so that it 
not only wouldn't be worthwhile to implement this request, but would be 
confusing (particularly to newer developers).

In any case, thank you for your suggestion.
