Description:
------------
I can understand if you don't want to be submerged with poor bug reports, but I can't see the point of this painful bug reporting user interface.

Please tell me if the feature exists and I missed it.

Why not allowing users reporting bugs to register and get an account ?
If could be safer and more confortable for both php website maintainers and users.

The two main issues I see in current system are:
* User email is like clearly displayed to all visitors (and very easily parsable by robots)
* The CAPTCHA system should be reserved to reporters who wish to stay anomymous (why not ?).

I like receiving a copy of the bug report and being emailed when it is answered, and I provide a real email... I just hope the account will remain usable.
I suppose many users will prefer providing a bogus address.

I'm glad that Firefox improved its forms handling for "Web 2.0", because if you spend an hour or more following all recommendations and caring about what you write in each section, I guess you don't get so happy when your form submission fails because Captcha or other identifying field cannot validate, or timeout occured. What about other browsers users ?

I usually spend time doing my best to send good bug reports, because I like contributing to OpenSourceSoftware quality.

But I prefer websites and projects which respect visitors and contributors privacy.

Shall I come back here to tell you how did this form submission go ?
...
I'm sad of the answer given to #26674.

Because its to much of an hassle and when it doesn't work noone will bother helping the user to fix it.

> * User email is like clearly displayed to all visitors

Thats an important feature.

anomymous (why not ?).

No, this is an OSS project.
Although we should replace that crappy CAPTCHA or make other authentication mechanisms available.. There are bunch of other outstanding bug reports dealing with that.
