Description:
------------
For the past few weeks the Israeli mirror, il.php.net, has been very slow, and on occasions non-responsive altogether.

The problem is not consistent, and appears at random. However, I experience it with two completely separate networks, at home and at the university.

As a temporary solution, I've been manually changing links (e.g. Google search results) from il.php.net/something to il2.php.net/something.

Thank you.

I recommend you let the website redirect you to available mirror rather then you manually (or via search engine for that matter) enter in a specific mirror.

There is no way external sources can ping the mirrors and send you to an active mirror, but simply going to "http://php.net/.." will however do that for you.

The website indeed redirects to il.php.net, which as of late is either very slow or failing. This in turn forces me to manually switch to il2.php.net.

I thought to bring this to your attention, since it seems il.php.net is the default mirror, and has been problematic for some time now.
