The documentation mentioned to use --with-iconv, which has always been the case, until 5.2.6. Now iconv is available even when the configure option is omitted.

Seems the documentation is incorrect as well.
./configure --help | grep iconv
  --without-iconv[=DIR]   Exclude iconv support
  --with-iconv-dir=DIR      XMLRPC-EPI: iconv dir for XMLRPC-EPI

Reproduce code:
compile php without the --with-iconv option.

Expected result:
iconv should not be complied and listed a phpinfo() page.

Actual result:
iconv is complied and listed a phpinfo() page.
