The manual states for ftp_close():
void ftp_close ( resource $ftp_stream )

And for ftp_quit:
int ftp_quit ( int $ftp_stream )

Anyway, both var_dump(ftp_close($conn_id)) and var_dump(ftp_quit($conn_id)) display bool(true).

In comp.lang.php I got told ftp_quit() was an alias of fpt_close(). If this is the case it would be helpful to find this information in the manual; if not, it would be helpful to find some short info about the differences.

Sorry - I just saw the english documentation is correct. So this submission does only affect the german translation!

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.

Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better.
