Description:
------------
To Whom It May Concern,

Not sure if you even really care about this but I thought I would let you know that on the page listed at the end of this note and possibly more as I did not go through the entire list, in IE 6.0.2900/2180.xpsp_sp2_qfe.070227-2300 the content of these pages will not appear until, it seems, the menu on the left side of the page ends...

Thus when you hit one of these links in this version of IE on a windows platform (I did not test this on a Mac but did test it in Netscape 7, Opera8.5 and Mozilla 1.5.09) there is a lot of white space where the content should appear and you have to scroll down to find the content. When you first visit one of these pages, for a second it appears correctly then the page 'corrects' itself and the content disappears and cannot be seen until you scroll down to where the menu on the left ends as if it is re-aligning itself to that point on the page. When you view these pages at first it looks like the content disappears. If you miss that first quickly display of content then it just looks like the page is blank.

This happens whether the browser is maximized or minimized and at any resolution setting I choose. My monitor is a 21 inch and my usual resolution is 1024 by 768 but I tested it on every resolution setting I could ranging from 800 by 600 to 1280 by 1024.

Also, it only seems to happen when I am viewing pages in the functions list or the miscellaneous functions list... I have never seen this happen when I am looking at other areas of the manual or articles or other kinds of pages on the site.

If there is additional information I can provide you with which I have not here please let me know.

Sincerely,

Jennifer C. Swartz

I received an email on October 11, 2007, 6 months after the initial complaint... The cryptic response I believe is asking me to test the pages again in the same browser. If that is what you wanted, the information is below. If you wanted me to do something else, please send a more detailed email so I can assist you in fixing the issue.

Functions List pages:
http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.datetime.php FIXED
http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.dba.php NOT FIXED
http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.dbx.php FIXED
http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.filter.php NOT FIXED

Miscellaneous Functions List:
http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.get-browser.php NOT FIXED BUT CONTENT SHOWS UP NOW BEFORE THE MENU ENDS BUT STILL DOES NOT APPEAR AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE.

Sincerely,
Jennifer Swartz

I can't remember if I told you that my version of IE has not changed since I found the problem originally...
