Description:
------------
This is, what I write into the string:

$sql = "select count(upload_id) from patient_visits where patient_id=".$this->patient_id. " and upload_id is not null and upload_id<>".$this->upload_id;

This is in the string, AFTER this statement:

select count(upload_id) from patient_visits where patient_id=1 and upload_id is not null and upload_id33

get this -----------------------------^^^

WHY???

Expected result:
----------------
a correct string

Actual result:
--------------
a string without those "<>" I wanted to put there.
