PHP compiled in with Apache-SSL (1.3.11) with MySQL (3.22.32) enabled.

I've been trying to use a PHP upload script to upload a binary file to a MySQL database, and it seems there is some arbitrary limit of 1 meg set that prohibits me from uploading the file. I have tried using the php3_upload_max_filesize Apache directive as well as the in-form hidden field for max file size, and nothing seems to work; besides, these values are set at 2 megs by default it seems, so I don't see how those could be affecting things. I did try uploading a 5 meg file and copying it over so that it stayed around after the script, and the entire file uploaded correctly, so there seems to be something wrong with the MySQL insertion side of things.
