I am using the OCI call interface to load a BLOB from an oracle 9i database. When I call the load() function I get exaclty 1MB of data if the file is greater than 1MB. If I call size() function is gives the the proper size.

Reproduce code:
$size = $result['FILE_DATA']->size();
$data = $result['FILE_DATA']->load();

echo $size;
echo strlen($data);

Expected result:
$size = 3365110
strlen($data) = 3365110

Actual result:
$size = 3365110
strlen($data) = 1048576
