Under PHP3.0.14, I compiled with --enable-discard-path
and can use PHP by putting:
#!/path/to/php 

at the top of a file

but with 4.0 betas (b3,b4,b4pl1), Netscape never loads
the page (also compiled with --enable-discard-path)

I didn't see anything indicating this should have changed.
Please accept my apologies if I missed something in the
documentation.  Feel free to e-mail me (dreed@capital.edu)
for any more clarifications.  Unfortunately, I am not
the sys-admin on the machine so I can not see the web
server logs (also, this is SWS - Sun's Web Server).

This should be fixed in the latest CVS. Please grab it or the latest snapshot from snaps.php.net. If it still doesn't work for you please open a new bug report.
