when i use this : 
./configure --enable-so --with-apxs2={path/apache2/bin/apxs} --with-mysql --enable-ftp --enable-filepro --with-gnu-ld 
       make
       make install
i have no probleme with php, but when i use that :
    ./configure --enable-so --with-apxs2={path/apache2/bin/apxs} --with-mysql --enable-ftp --enable-filepro --with-gnu-ld   --with-gd={path/gd}
   
 i have with  make install, that :
          libtools: install: error: cannot install libphp5.la .....to
          apxs:Error: Command failed with rc=65536 

can you help me ? 
i don't understand why php & apxs do not install my new libphp5.so when i use the option :"--with-gd=/usr...."
