I have got an Apache(1.3.4) isn't from RPM .
I had compiled it and i wanted to upgrade this to PHP modules.

I downloaded php3-3.0.12.

My steps:

cd apache_1.3.x
./configure --prefix=/www
cd ../php-3.0.x
./configure --with-mysql --with-apache=../apache_1.3.x --enable-track-vars
make
make install
cd ../apache_1.3.x
./configure --prefix=/www --activate-module=src/modules/php3/libphp3.a
(The above line is correct! Yes, we know libphp3.a does not exist at this
stage. It isn't supposed to. It will be created.)
make
(you should now have an httpd binary which you can copy to your Apache bin dir)
cd ../php-3.0.x
cp php3.ini-dist /usr/local/lib/php3.ini

cd ../apache_1.3.xx
make install

When i'm typing /home/apache/bin/httpd -l (my path) i see
mod_php3.c compiled too.
that's perfect.
But when i type: http://192.168.1.100/test.php3 (my ip address) i see
<?phpinfo()?> in my screen ... It doesn't work ...

AddType and all stuff are in httpd.conf.

I tried various combination and spend whole day to resolve this, but i didn't.

Can You help me ??!!

Best regards,
Toly.

P.S. sorry for my terrible english.

Make sure that your AddType definition looks exactly like this:

AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .php3

These are by default not enabled in httpd.conf. Please let us know whether you have resolved the issue up to now.
