Currently PECL extensions which are documented have no version.


See for example http://php.net/manual/en/function.rar-close.php

Perhaps upgrading the message to say:

 (no version information, might be only in CVS or a PECL extension)

is needed? Or have the versionig script check the PECL tree also - though I don't think this it is possible to tell from the PECL tree itself what versions it is in? Perhaps peclweb can parse the package.xml's and compile the neccessary information

Please do not submit the same bug more than once. An existing
bug report already describes this very problem. Even if you feel
that your issue is somewhat different, the resolution is likely
to be the same.

Dup of #25983 which is assigned to me. I've created a patch for functable about month ago and sent it to Derick and Helmut but with no reply.
