PHP4 won't link (undefined symbols) because the following functions are unimplemented in the current version of the Solid Embedded Engine, and are referneced from the PHP ODBC module:

SQLColumnPrivileges
SQLForeignKeys
SQLProcedureColumns
SQLProcedures
SQLTablePrivileges

These were not referenced in PHP3, which works fine.

The fix could be as simple as putting #ifdef wrappers around the corresponding PHP functions. Before we do this, we'd like to check with the developers first.

We are using a not-yet-released version of Solid (FreeBSD 3, ELF format), but this isn't relevant - the same problem exists with FreeBSD 2.2.8, and the released version of Solid for FreeBSD.
