Description:
------------
I have added codes to my .htaccess files to treat extensionless files as php, using the following code:

DefaultType application/x-httpd-php

This configuration was working fine with 4.3.4, but since my host has upgraded to 4.3.6, I am constantly getting 500 internal server errors. Apparently the problem also affects files with .php extension, but after a few reloads the files are renderable and continue to be so. Most files without an extension are still not rendered.

I just discovered that cPanel shows the following errors for files and directories:

"error: directory is writable by others:"

"error: file is writable by others:"

Sorry, but your problem does not imply a bug in PHP itself. For a
list of more appropriate places to ask for help using PHP, please
visit http://www.php.net/support.php as this bug system is not the
appropriate forum for asking support questions.

Thank you for your interest in PHP.

This is a system configuration problem, not a PHP one.
