I get 'Warning: 1 is not a MySQL link index ..' when I use mysql_insert_id after a file upload. mysql_insert_id works fine if I remove the ENCTYPE="multipart/form-data" though. 

I found a related posting it on your mailing list, but didnt find an answer to the posting.

These two concepts have absolutely nothing in common.  You have something else wrong.
