make test seems to go into an infinite loop after echoing

PASS Testing register_shutdown_function() [tests/func/005.phpt]

PHP_SAPI    : cli
PHP_VERSION : 4.3.5RC3
ZEND_VERSION: 1.3.0
PHP_OS      : CYGWIN_NT-5.1 - CYGWIN_NT-5.1 entlein 1.5.7(0.109/3/2) 2004-01-30 19:32 i686

I don't know what the current test is at that state. Somebody may change the subject of this issue accordingly.

Run only that script.

# make test TESTS=tests/func/005.phpt

or

# sapi/cli/php tests/func/005.phpt

Then we'll know if that test hangs or what..

Interesting... The following tests both return "PASS":
make test TESTS=tests/func/005.phpt
PASS Testing register_shutdown_function() [tests/func/005.phpt]
make test TESTS=tests/func/006.phpt
PASS Output buffering tests [tests/func/006.phpt]

However, when I run "make test" the script hangs in the state described above (with 100% CPU load).

Try this too:

# make test TESTS=tests/func/
