I am using PHP and CURL to send/recevie XML data from a website using https. The response is Intermittent. Some times I get the response right away. Some time I dont get the response, and it times out. Does any one have this problem?
PHP version : mod_php4-4.3.4_2,1
Curl version ; curl-7.10.7
Open SSL version is : openssl-0.9.7b_1
Please shed some light on this, so that I can continue building my site.
Here is the code I am trying.....
    $httpURL =;
  curl_setopt ($ch, CURLOPT_URL,$httpURL);
  curl_setopt ($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST, 1);
  curl_setopt ($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, 0);
  curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, $httpHeaders ); // Set the Headers
  curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, 1); // POST Method
  curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $httpBody); //My XML Request
  curl_setopt ($ch, CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION, '1');
  curl_setopt ($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1);
  $httpResponse = curl_exec ($ch); //Send the request

Sorry, but your problem does not imply a bug in PHP itself. For a
list of more appropriate places to ask for help using PHP, please
visit as this bug system is not the
appropriate forum for asking support questions.

Thank you for your interest in PHP.

In all likelyhood this is a problem with the server on the
other end. If it is not then it is a problem with libcurl
