Description:
------------
I am based in Thailand.

If I visit www.php.net then it redirects me to th.php.net

If th.php.net is down (seems to happen a lot!) then the www.php.net page loads but when I try to search the function list, it tries to contact th.php.net which is down.

It would probably be better if the system defaulted to www.php.net if my local mirror was down.

The system defaults to selecting a different mirror (not www.php.net) in case it detects that a mirror is down. Actually short downtimes are not handled, since we hourly check the mirrors. You still have the option to set any other mirror site permanently (but not www.php.net) at the My PHP.net page.
