If you compile php as Apache Static Module and add a zend_extension module (Zend Optimizer or php_accelerator etc.), the resulting php binary dumps a Segmentation Fault message if you list the modules with the -m option.

./configure' '--with-apache=../apache_1.3.27' '--with-ldap' '--enable-bcmath' '--without-mysql'
