All packages were build via RPM (Apache+ssl+fp first, then mod_php3-3.0.12 with Oracle 8i support). I'm trying to use virtual servers. However, if I load mod_php3 AND have a virtual server configured, the httpsd never starts (but also doesn't show no error/core dump).

If I remove mod_php3 but leave the virtual server in configuration, the httpsd starts and works. Also, if I leave mod_php3 and remove the virtual server, things work.

What could be the problem here?

mod_php3:

./configure \
        --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs \
        --prefix=/usr \
        --enable-safe-mode \
        --with-exec-dir=/usr/bin \
        --disable-short-tags \
        --with-imap \
        --with-config-file-path=/etc/httpd/apache/conf \
        --disable-debug \
        --enable-magic-quotes \
        --enable-debugger \
        --enable-bcmath \
        --enable-track-vars \
        --with-system-regex \
        --with-ldap \
        --with-zlib \
        --with-jpeg-dir=/usr \
        --with-tiff-dir=/usr \
        --with-gd \
        --with-xml \
        --with-pdflib=/usr \
        --with-ttf=/usr \
        --enable-t1lib \
        --with-oracle=/home/oracle/product/8.1.5

Apache (patched with apache+ssl+fp):

./configure --prefix=/usr \
        --with-layout=COL \
        --enable-module=all \
        --enable-shared=max \
        --disable-rule=WANTHSREGEX \
        --disable-module=auth_dbm \
        --with-perl=/usr/bin/perl

Thank you for taking the time to report a problem with PHP.
Unfortunately, PHP 3 is no longer supported. Please download

If you are able to reproduce the bug with one of the latest

to the version you tested and change the status back to "Open".
Again, thank you for your continued support of PHP.
