it seems there is a bug in pearweb, in that I can login as 'Davey' just fine, I can upload a new release (though didn't go so far as to try and release it as its an already released package), but I cannot edit my packages info, nor my user info unless I login as 'davey'. Seems it should disallow 'Davey' altogether, or allow it altogether...

We stick to allowing "davey" as well as "Davey". I've instead adjusted (account|package)-edit.php to support both flavours instead.
