/pear/Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer/Writer/Workbook.php

refers to

require_once('OLE/PPS/Root.php');
require_once('OLE/PPS/File.php');

But these files do not exist in the /pear or /php4/pear cvs trees.

Where are these files?

Google doesn't help at all.

 This is just in cvs, you should use a release. By the way, OLE is a new package which should be a dependency for Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer in the next release (hopefully soon).

Same problem for me (FreeBSD / PHP 4.3.6)

# pear install Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer

Copied and pasted first sample from package's 
'Documentation' page:
