Whilst trying to run go_pear.bat PHP.exe dies with an illegal error warning from windows. I've managed to trace the error so far to the line:

$install = &PEAR_Command::factory('install', $config);

which is line 325 of go_pear.php, I'm still tracking the error back to where it *actually* occurs, whethers it's with the function call, or with the function processing I'm not sure yet...

The error occurs in the php5-win32-200302251530 and the (much) newer php5-win32-200303080330 builds, so presumably it also occurs in all builds in between aswell.

I've also verified this on WinXP.

Please try using this CVS snapshot:

  http://snaps.php.net/php5-latest.tar.gz

For Windows:

  http://snaps.php.net/win32/php5-win32-latest.zip

It should be fixed in lastest releases. Please test it.
