index.php3 is
<?
require("brian.inc");
phpinfo();
?>

where brian.inc is
<?php
echo "hello";
?>

This returns a Netscape error which says
"The document returned no data"
I have tried using include and require.
I am using the default php.ini

Make sure you're using Apache 1.3.9, as previous versions had a bug which showed itself with include/require.
