I am trying to install PHP 4.3.0 on an Alphaserver DS20 running
Tru64 unix V5.1 patch kit 5. The web server software is
Netscape/IPlanet Enterprise Edition 4.1.

# ./configure --with-nsapi=/usr/netscape/server4 --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql

But, after make, make install hangs indefinitely on the message
"Installing PEAR environment."

# make install
Installing PHP CLI binary: /usr/local/bin/
Installing PHP SAPI module
Installing shared extensions: /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-zts-20020429/
Installing PEAR environment: /usr/local/lib/php/

Please try using this CVS snapshot:

  http://snaps.php.net/php4-STABLE-latest.tar.gz

For Windows:

  http://snaps.php.net/win32/php4-win32-STABLE-latest.zip

If the problem persists try sending the running PHP binary SIG11 and then include the backtrace in your reply. This will help the developers to determine the code responsible for the problem.
