After configuring PHP.4.3.0 with the newest version of OpenSSL.0.9.7 Apache 2.0.44 will fail to start due to a undefined variable in

This is reproducable on 3 different machines.

switch used for configure: 
./configure --with-ssl=/usr/local/ssl/ {...}
/usr/local/ssl is where openssl.0.9.7 is installed

i've that same problem with php 4.2.3 && openssl-0.9.7 && apache-1.3.27. All has been compiled ok, but when i start apache, it write error with undefined symbol:OPENSSL_add_all_algorithms_noconf ...
..php4-STABLE-latest.. with couple of my params did'nt configure :-(.
