Two minor documentation issues: On the script that can be received via or the following windows instructions are included as comments:

# > php-cli -r 'readfile("");' > go-pear
# > php-cli go-pear

(a) as with the final release, the PHP CLI executable is called php (not php-cli) and resides in the cli subdirectory

(b) the parameter for php -r must be included in double quotes, you get an error message using single quotes. The following works:

php-cli -r "readfile('');" > go-pear

whoops, I copied&pasted a typo into (b); correct is:

cli\php -r "readfile('');" > go-pear
 [2003-01-05 08:04 UTC]
Actually those two commands can be replaced with:

cli\php -n -r "include '';"
