I know there's a problem/fix that's been reported for this at:
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&safe=off&selm=amnpdm%242lc6%241%40FreeBSD.csie.NCTU.edu.tw&rnum=3

However I'm just wondering why it was reported back in June with php 4.2.1 and it *still* breaks with 4.2.3. Here's the configure line I used:

./configure --with-mysql --with-ldap\ --with-apxs2=/sw/pkg/apache/bin/apxs

I had to add the line mentioned in the URL (Which is adding "TSRMLS_FETCH();" to ext/ldap/ldap.c on line 2029) so it would work and it does. I'm submitting this report in hopes that this fix will make the next version so people like me don't have to hunt for unsupported patches. Thanks for helping work on a great product btw. PHP rules.

Please try using this CVS snapshot:

  http://snaps.php.net/php4-latest.tar.gz

For Windows:

  http://snaps.php.net/win32/php4-win32-latest.zip

This was fixed 23.09.2002 in both dev branch and stable branch.

I meant: The fix was merged to stable branch on that date.
