When i use backtick operators or shell_exec (i have not tried the others) with du -d0 /home/sanal it returns twice the real values which i get with root du -d0 /home/sanal

with imap with transid 
i use apache 1.3.x
and suexec this code as cgi and user postfix:maildrop
this directory and all inside are owned by postfix:maildrop
