A blob field is filled in a page as a <textarea>. Obviously the text is input formatted, with ENTER to split some lines from others.
This text is to be seen in a "normal" (with no input facility, eg, without any <textarea> field) html page, and I want it to be seen exactly as entered.
My code for the "normal" page is:
$str="<table><tr><td>...";
...
$str.=nl2br($row[blobfield]);
...
echo($str);
However the result is that the full text is not seen. If I change it to:
$str="<table><tr><td>...";
...
$str.=$row[blobfield];
...
echo($str);
the text is seen, but unformatted.
