I had a CVS version of Horde and Imp working smoothly, after a recent apt-get logins had failed. I think this was an upgrade of PHP. I have checked out the latest stable revisions of Horde and Imp from CVS, ensured that the test.php page shows no problems. PHP 4.1.2 is the current stable and testing version of PHP supplied in the debian distribution.

However, upon attempting to login you get a "document contains no data" situation after entering username and password, and the apache-ssl error log shows the following.

[notice] child pid 29720 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)

Please try using this CVS snapshot:

  http://snaps.php.net/php4-latest.tar.gz

For Windows:

  http://snaps.php.net/win32/php4-win32-latest.zip

Compiled the latest snapshot eventually, but it has not solved the problem.

Thank you for this bug report. To properly diagnose the problem, we
need a backtrace to see what is happening behind the scenes. To
find out how to generate a backtrace, please read
http://bugs.php.net/bugs-generating-backtrace.php

Once you have generated a backtrace, please submit it to this bug
report and change the status back to "Open". Thank you for helping
us make PHP better.

Compile with --enable-debug (and use the snapshot)

[2002-09-06 06:46 UTC] ct at piglets dot com
I'm not too sure exactly all you are looking for so I included as much as possible. It says no debugging symbols found a lot. This is probably because this is a debian package installed apache, but I have compiled php with --enable-debug and something appears to be showing here. I hope this helps.

Hi, is there any progress on this issue? This is still treated as open I assume?
 [2002-10-01 16:17 UTC] jmoore@php.net
The backtrace you provided is of no use to us as you have not compiled with --enable-debug, please do this and then submit the resulting backtrace.

http://bugs.php.net/bugs-generating-backtrace.php

Once you have generated a backtrace, please submit it to this bug
report and change the status back to "Open". Thank you for helping
us make PHP better.

Compile with --enable-debug (and use the snapshot)

Many thanks.

I think I misunderstood the form to change the status. Sorry... I hope this will do it...
 [2002-10-01 16:24 UTC] jmoore@php.net
feedback is the right status as I have asked you to produce a backtrace with --enable-debug turned on in your configure.
