Sorry to trouble you. But I have spent two whole days trying to
 install Apache and PHP

I have download the tarball of Apache_1.3.6 and PHP- 3.0.11
I have followed the instruction both from the PHP website and
from README.configure come with Apache specifically on installing
php. I have succeed in installing them with no error message.

But it just does not work (I have uncommented the AddType also put a trailing new line)

Please could you help me ?

 Best regards

Grab the Apache-1.3.9 and PHP 3.0.12 tarballs and follow the instructions for doing an APXS build in either INSTALL.DSO or INSTALL.REDHAT found in the PHP distribution.
