At a minimum, phpinfo output is incorrectly claiming that 
DES is supported in "supported ciphers" when it's not.

It also seems "wrong" to me that crypt() would take a DES 
salt and use it as Blowfish salt rather than return an 

Maybe I'm just naive or missing something here, thoug

crypt() does not have anything to do with mcrypt..
