This is a problem with the function on the php.net website, when you use the search tool to find all functions containing a certain substring, the results are incomplete.

Search for function:
 "meta" does not return get_meta_tags

 "meta_" does work

 "get" does not return get_meta_tags

Can not find useful results for '.htaccess' or 'htaccess', even though it appears several times on page: http://www.php.net/manual/en/configuration.php

Using the search engine at www.php.net to look for ...

ps.default_encoding

in the whole site, returns a page saying that it was found 9 times, but without any actual links to the pages found!

Regards

Richard.

Both .htaccess ps.default_encoding searches return results listed using the search engines...
