after a while when using MySQL, in my PHP scripts, images will not show up in my pages and the style sheet will not connect. It looks like what the files are not being downloaded.

One thing that i noticed is that the bigger images and files are lost first. After this problem occurs, it only gets worse, to the point of no images being received by the browser.

The HTML document all ways stays the same.

This problem only occurs when i am using MySQL.

When this happens, i have to reload Apache-PHP. This fixes the problem for about a half hour. I do not have to reload MySQL.

I have the Apache/PHP/MySQL combo running as a module on my computer.

This problem does not appear to be the case on Linux boxes as i have not had any problems there.

It has crossed my mind that this is a Apache problem but with my limited knowledge of how Apache works as a module I could not tell you. The if the browser is not receiving the images and style sheets it would lead me to believe it was an apache problem. But why MySQL would influence how Apache sends images is something to think about.

I know this is kinda a sketchy bug report, but if there is anything else i could test for or do i would be glad to.

Brendan

I think we this may be related to the fact that all the software in conjunction here (Apache, Mysql and PHP) does not do it's best thing on Windows 98 (which is a quirk OS). I think you have to live with the fact.

Other opinions?

I agree with Markus. It's very likely to be a problem with Windows 98, but it might as well be a problem with your Apache configuration.
Anyway, I don't think it's a bug in PHP so I'm closing this report.
