In _php_stream_bz2open right at the top the call to virtual_filepath returns a pointer in path_copy which is efree() a few lines later but needs to be estrdup() before (I think).

Thank you for taking the time to write to us, but this is not
a bug. Please double-check the documentation available at
http://www.php.net/manual/ and the instructions on how to report
a bug at http://bugs.php.net/how-to-report.php

The path_copy is efree'd because opened_path is NULL, meaning that the caller of the function does not need that result.

This bug has been fixed in CVS. You can grab a snapshot of the
CVS version at http://snaps.php.net/. In case this was a documentation
problem, the fix will show up soon at http://www.php.net/manual/.
In case this was a PHP.net website problem, the change will show
up on the PHP.net site and on the mirror sites.
Thank you for the report, and for helping us make PHP better.
