Currently, each function page in documentation contains a list of all the functions in the same section. Since these lists are exactly the same across all functions in the section, I suggest they are moved into a separate file (one per section, or one alltogether) and require()'d instead.

These would save huge amounts of disk space - in function.strstr.php, the list is 7k and the rest of the page is 2.5k.

Actually every second element in that nav array is dropped while printing out the nav linkbar, so for the first step, it would make sizes smaller to drop those buggy elements while generating the files... Huh...

Well, I've done that first step and modified the DSSSL code to not print any array elements without titles. So this will at least help the phpweb manual pages to be smaller. I cannot say anything about the request on putting it to another file, as it would involve a big rewrite of the rendering code, and as discussed many times, we are going to switch to XSL rendering instead of DSSSL...

As this is a good feature request, this bug should be left open, until we work out something for this...

This is going to happen with Livedocs, and we are not going to add any such functionality to the DSSSL or the XSL sheets.
