When trying to use the pow function with any numerical values one gets the message: Warning: Invalid argument(s) passed to pow(). Moreover, you don't get an answer back from the function. This started happening only when we upgraded to PHP 4.2.1. We have substituted exp(log(a)*b) for pow(a, b) in all our production code rather than go back to previous releases of PHP.
