identical configure - run on 4.2.1 doesn't work while
worked fine on 4.1.2 ... had to switch back (production
machine) here is my configure:

./configure --with-ldap --with-apache=../apache_1.3.23 --enable-track-vars --enable-bcmath --with-oci8=/usr/oracle/app/product/8.1.6.1 --enable-ftp --with-pdflib=/usr/local --with-gd --enable-gd-native-ttf --with-jpeg --with-png -with-ttf --with-zlib --with-openssl=/usr/local/ssl --with-ming --with-mysql=/usr --enable-debug --enable-wddx

might be related to regsiter_globals=off by default in 4.2.x, but hard to tell without seeing code ...
