I think these functions do not belong in the language. If there was a general purpose function to calculate this and other holiday dates, that would make sense. But two complete functions just for one religion's holiday? That is very silly.

Those functions are not in the current CVS

Actually, they were moved to the calendar extension
(dl/calendar/easter.c).

We would certainly welcome patches to extend the calculation
to include other holidays.
