Guys, ext/gd/config.m4 needs to be fixed before 4.2 goes out.  Right now
it does a terrible job detecting gd2/freetype2 TTF functions as the tests
are missing the required -lfreetype.  Rolling back to config.m4 from the
4.1.2 release makes everything work just fine.

This bug has been fixed in CVS.

I applied reverse patch for PHP 4.1.2.
gd2/freetype2 detection related issue is solved by this fix.

But, GD/Freetype related issue Rasmus mentioned is still existing and need to befixed.

This bug has been fixed in CVS. You can grab a snapshot of the
CVS version at http://snaps.php.net/. In case this was a documentation 
problem, the fix will show up soon at http://www.php.net/manual/.
In case this was a PHP.net website problem, the change will show
up on the PHP.net site and on the mirror sites.
