When trying to send mail using PHP the following error message is received:

Warning: mail() is not supported in this PHP build 

My php_cofig.h file has the following line:
#define HAVE_SENDMAIL 1

My php3.ini file has the following settings:

[mail function]
SMTP		=	localhost	;for win32 only
sendmail_from	=	me@localhost.com;for win32 only
sendmail_path	=	/usr/sbin/sendmail -t -i ;for unix only, may supply arguments as well (default is sendmail -t)

ls -l for /usr/sbin/sendmail shows:
-rwsr-xr-x    1 root     root        13758 Sep 10 11:15 sendmail* 

Phpinfo (http://admin.vervehosting.com/phpinfo.php) shows the following setting for sendmail:
sendmail_path -t -i
